MY TRIP TO SIBU FOR THE NATIONAL BAPTIST YOUTH CAMP!
Our flight was at 7.05am. So, we had to wake up at around 4.00am and start to get ready. It was so tiring. There were 10 of us from GBRJ that attended this wonderful camp.
i was one of the committee members. And the best part of being one is that.. u get first hand of everything.. including touching n eating SAGO WORMS!!! this guy here is one of the sarawakian pastor..
On the third day, we visited one of the long houses near our campsite. We were so excited..
The first thing that caught all of our attention was a banana tree in the middle of the hall with FOOD hanging on it.. anyway, we were greeted with traditional dances and then, the fun begin..
That's Pastor Eddie dancing with the warrior sword. The catch is that whoever wears the cap will have to dance around the tree one round and then using the sword, he or she will be allowed to cut something from the tree. After that, he or she will select someone else to dance. However, everyone was not allowed to eat the food until the whole tree was 'brought down' at the end with some kind of ceremony..
Then, we started shopping and taking pictures. The 3 guys behind are Sarawakians / musicians for the camp. The guy in yellow shirt is Benjamin, Pastor Eddie's son. Ain't he cute.... He just finished his UPSR..
I thought these were very ulu places.. and then... i spotted something.. a super big SATELITE outside the long house... and also ASTRO.. wow.. they are not ulu man.. my friends were like :"wat?? they got astro here..????"

After the visit.. we went back to the camp site for games. We played "The Battle Game". Actually we wanted to play this game at night 3.30am.. but it rained so heavily that we had to delayed it till the next day.We even waked them up at that time.. man.. they looked pists..
So, we ended up playing the game in the evening.. not so fun. but.. ok la.. i had to take care of this group of campers.. man.. they are seriously NAUGHTY!!!!
The point of this game is to get as many flags as possible. And to get other group's flag, you have to first put out their candle using water ballons.. the point of using candle is actually to allow people to know that you have a flag there.. and you dont know where your enemies are.. thats y i say this game was meant for playing at night.. anyway, my group members started forming allianses with other group members and all of them ended up attacking Israel and England (kesian..) however, at the end, every group started defending their flags and nobody attacked anybody.. hahaha.. funny ending..
when i return to the main hall in between the game, i saw something i couldn't believe..the gurl in purple shirt n blue pants was actually acting like she got really really high.. she was laughting n splasing water at the poor pastor.. n she started chasing one of the committee until he had to hide in the toilet.. n she started shouting otside the toilet.. The thing is that she is very very super quiet in church.. until she wont even answer you when you say good morning to her..man..

this is Chris..On the last day of camp, we didnt wanted to sleep, so we ended up playing 'THE DARE GAME'. no truth, just dare.. so, Chris lost n he was suppose to pose the "8 Ah Lian Poses".. hahaha.. he look so funny..
this is number 1..

This are the other committee members from KLBC. wow!! i got new friends!!! they are really cool... n funny at times.. hahaha.. glad to know u guys man...
Time really flies.. our flight back to KLIA is at 8.55pm. So, we spent the whole day in the camp sleeping this time instead of talking.. because we were too tired.. the other Sarawakian campers left early this time.. hahaha.. first to come, last to go..
